End of Life Guidance, Preparation and Support.

I am proud to care for dogs at every stage of life, including the end. After suffering the loss of both my soul dogs, I felt like I was missing my purpose without them with me. That painful journey led me to become a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Advocate (CHPA)
This education and training allows me to help guide dogs at their final stages and their families who are in need of compassionate end-of-life care and support.

I believe that is one of the most rewarding (although excruciating to go through) privileges to care for our dogs as they age or get sick. Being present with them, being supported and knowing all your options can make their final transition over the rainbow bridge as peaceful as possible.

My services provide support and guidance to animals and their families during end-of-life care. They focusing on enhancing the quality of life for animals through a holistic approach, including pain management, symptom control, and emotional support for both the animals and their owner.

I do NOT offer ANY type of euthanasia services myself. Every thing surrounding the euthanasia process is handled by the professional Veterinary team - but I am here to provide guidance, be a voice of reason, advocate for both of your needs and keep your dog comfortable during this difficult time.

My services include

  • Medical care includes recognizing pain and other symptoms, administering medications, anticipating complications, and learning what side effects may be associated with medications and treatments.

  • Nursing care includes reviewing treatments and medications administered by the family, reviewing the patient’s activities of daily living, assessing the patient’s condition, administering medications and treatments, and ensuring that all measures are taken to maximize the patient’s comfort.

  • Support for the family consists of actively listening to owners elaborate on their feelings, validating the family’s experiences and showing empathy; providing information and other resources; and facilitating coping and decision-making.
